The original 'Ria Wisata' was the first outrigger vessel to offer this surfing trip to Sumbawa in 1986 with Captain Wayan Linas at the helm. He travelled in tandem that season with one other boat named the 'Green Fish' which has not operated now for many years, but Captain Wayan and family have operated this same journey with upgraded vessels ever since.
